Art: Veronica hederifolia

The first finished art piece to come out of my botanic walk last week was the Ivy Leaf Speedwell. I collected a few of these specimens and this was the first to come out of the plant press (and still look somewhat presentable)
I really like the way the root extends off the side of the specimen and the curve of the stem. And you can clearly see the shape of the leaves as well. The only thing I'm disappointed in in this piece is that the flowers don't translate. You can see what this piece looked like in the wild here.
